Pittsburgh in November
I saw snowfall for the very first time today. I initially thought it was hail. Why would it ever be snow?
But my co-worker, who is a Mid Western girl, stated it was snow. It was wimpy, and the snow fall only lasted for a few minutes, but it was indeed snow.
Prior to today, I came close to seeing snow when I was in Pittsburgh. The weather conditions we’ve been experiencing lately has reminded me a lot of that trip—the crisp, cold air, the rain—it always brings me back to the city, walking around, all bundled up, trying to walk fast enough to create enough friction to keep my body warm. While we never huddled together, cuddled, held hands, or did anything physical to keep ourselves warm, [REDACTED] provided me with a warmth that I took home with me like a precious souvenir. Unbeknownst to him, I have kept it with me since, gripping it tightly, refusing to let it go.
